THIS VOLUME IS the result of the international conference "Medieval Scandinavia and Papal Administration", held at The Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities in 2016. The aim of the conference was to highlight and exemplify the lively contacts between the Nordic countries and the papacy luring the Middle Ages.

Serpents and Crosses är den postumt utgivna tredje delen i Brita Malmers corpus över skandinaviska mynt från vikingatiden. Den rikt illustrerade volymen omfattar i huvudsak tre delar: Den inledande delen är en uppdatering av Malmers "Nordiska Mynt före år 1000" med inriktning på de allra tidigaste nordiska mynten präglade i Hedeby och Ribe.
